Hailing from the hinterlands of Arizona, Dave arrived in Austin nearly 20 years ago and has called Texas home ever since. His quirky, heartfelt songwriting and sonorous voice found their niche in the Austin scene, where Dave evolved over time into the smooth crooner and standout performer he is today. He has a rich baritone and a unique way of telling a story, and his very intimate, personal style is at the heart of every Dave Insley leave-it-all-on-the-stage performance. His best friends and bandmates include Danny B. Harvey (guitar), Bobby Snell (steel), Daniel Jones (drums), and Vance Hazen (bass), along with ubertalented alternatives Gary Newcomb, Matt Hubbard, Clint Short, Mike Therieau, and Tjarko Jeen. Dave and the boys perform their latest songs along with all your old favorites in a weekly review every Saturday night from 8-10 at Austin’s popular White Horse Saloon. The band performs outside of Texas only occasionally, but does appears regularly at Sagebrush, and at the Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin.

Dave’s album releases include Just the Way that I Am (2016), West Texas Wine (2008), Here with You Tonight (2006), and Call Me Lonesome (2005). Dave’s unique style has earned him a reputation as one of the Southwest’s most original artists, and one of the region’s most authentic country voices. If you’re in Austin, don’t miss him.
